Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan: 2 Days from Hurghada

This two-day program combines the road transfer from Hurghada to Luxor with a short Nile cruise. After a drive of approximately 4 hours you board the cruise ship in Luxor, visit the main temples of the East and West Banks and sail a section of the river before returning to Hurghada.

What the cruise covers

Nile cruises between Luxor and Aswan pass major ancient sites such as Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo, Philae Temple and the Aswan High Dam. A full Luxor–Aswan cruise usually takes 3–4 nights, so this 2-day version focuses on the major Luxor highlights with partial sailing and skips some temples on the way. Because of the time limit, the sailing may be a short section toward Esna or Edfu rather than the full route to Aswan.

Program

On day 1 you are picked up from your hotel in Hurghada early in the morning and driven to Luxor, where you embark on the cruise and tour Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Dinner and evening entertainment are on board, and you spend the night on the cruise near Luxor.

On day 2, after an early breakfast, you visit the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. The ship then sails a short section of the Nile and returns to Luxor, and you are driven back to Hurghada in the evening.
