El Gouna Sea Trip from Hurghada

This full-day sea trip takes you from Hurghada to El Gouna, sometimes called the "Egyptian Venice" because of its canals. The day combines snorkeling, marine life, a cruise through El Gouna's lagoons and canals, and lunch on board before you return to Hurghada.

The day at sea

After hotel pickup in Hurghada at around 08:00, you travel by boat across the Red Sea toward El Gouna. The boat may stop near Dolphin House, a popular spot where you may see wild dolphins. At the snorkeling stop you explore coral reefs and marine life; mask, snorkel and fins are provided, and a guide assists you.

El Gouna by water

Its lagoon and canals, with islands connected by bridges, make El Gouna reminiscent of a small Venice. You cruise through the canals by boat or felucca and see the town from the water. The trip also includes a glass-boat tour, snorkeling and water sports, and a fishing stop.

Lunch is served on board with mineral water and soft drinks. You return to Hurghada port or your hotel in the late afternoon, around 16:00–17:00; the whole trip takes approximately 8–9 hours.

Hotel transfers in air-conditioned vehicles are included from most hotels in Hurghada. Hotels in Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi Bay, Soma Bay and Safaga pay an extra transfer fee.
