Cairo Tour – $150 Alexandria 🏜️🏜️
Day 1:
Cairo is the largest city not only in Egypt but also on the entire African continent. Located in the heart of the Nile, Cairo is a true city of contrasts. High-rise buildings, prestigious hotels, luxurious embankments, metro stations, complex transportation systems, and… bustling oriental bazaars, the Pyramids, the Great Sphinx, which has calmly gazed down on the bustle of the earth for centuries. Here, Egypt’s ancient and modern history blends.
Undoubtedly, not visiting Cairo means not seeing Egypt.
Our tour includes visits to Egypt’s most famous monuments. The tour begins with an overview of the city, during which you will understand and appreciate the magnificence and CONTRAST of Cairo. Next, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, whose numerous halls house over 150,000 artifacts dating back to the reign of the great pharaohs. After visiting the museum, you’ll head to the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, located in Giza, a suburb of Cairo.
“Everything fears time, but time fears the pyramids.” Standing before these greatest human structures, you’ll understand the truth of this saying…
You’ll also visit a papyrus factory and
the perfume museum with its enchanting scents.
Lunch at a restaurant on the banks of the Nile (buffet).
After the tour, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for rest. In the evening, you’ll dine at the hotel restaurant or, for a small additional fee, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile and watch a show. Afterward, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 2:
Early in the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, you’ll depart for Alexandria. Alexandria, a city founded in 332 BC by Alexander the Great, was the capital of Egypt during the Greco-Roman period and a major commercial and cultural center, a focal point of the spiritual life of the Hellenic world. Many scholars and philosophers drew inspiration for their works here. Cleopatra, the last queen of the Ptolemaic dynasty, bewitched Caesar and then his successor with her beauty here…
On this tour, you will visit the most famous sites of Alexandria. You will see Fort Qaitbay. Situated above Alexandria’s eastern harbor, it is a fortress with round towers and battlements overlooking the sea. The fort was built in the 15th century by Sultan Ashraf on the site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, which collapsed during an earthquake.
You will also visit the Hydrobiological Museum, which houses approximately 50 aquariums displaying inhabitants of the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Nile.
You’ll visit Montazah Park, the residence of Egyptian kings. This beautiful park, covering approximately 150 hectares, is planted with date palms, Mediterranean pines, and other conifers. It features numerous flower beds and pavilions, making Montazah a popular tourist destination.
You’ll also visit the largest and most beautiful mosque in Alexandria, the Abu El-Abbas Mosque.
And of course, you’ll see the famous Library of Alexandria (visited from the outside).
You’ll take a bus ride along the promenade and stop by the Mediterranean Sea for a swim.
Lunch at a restaurant (buffet).
At the end of the tour, return to Hurghada.
