Desert Super Safari from Marsa Alam

The Super Safari is an afternoon and evening trip from Marsa Alam that combines off-road driving, desert activities, Bedouin culture and dinner. It shows you the Eastern Desert beyond the beaches and reefs of the Red Sea coast.

The program

• 4x4 jeep ride: pickup at your hotel and an off-road drive into the desert.
• Quad bike: a ride over dunes and desert terrain of approximately 30–45 minutes.
• Camel ride: a classic way to cross the desert, with time for photos.
• Bedouin village: meet your Bedouin hosts, drink traditional tea and learn about local life.
• Sunset: time at a scenic desert spot to watch the sun go down.
• Dinner: a buffet or barbecue dinner at a desert camp.
• Show: an evening show under the stars, such as belly dancing or a Tanoura (whirling skirt) dance.

The trip lasts about 5–8 hours in the afternoon and evening, for example from around 13:00 until 19:00–21:00. Transfers from and back to your hotel in Marsa Alam and a local guide are included.

Tips

Bring sunglasses, sun protection and comfortable shoes for the desert. A minimum age of around 16 may apply for driving a quad bike.
