Dolphin House Hurghada: Wild Dolphins and Snorkeling
Dolphin House is a natural reef lagoon off Hurghada where wild dolphins often gather. Here is what the full-day boat trip with snorkeling stops looks like.

Dolphin House is a famous Red Sea reef area off the coast of Hurghada where wild dolphins often gather. It is not a building but a natural reef lagoon in the open sea. Dolphins are frequently seen swimming and playing here, and they sometimes come close to snorkelers.
Wild Dolphins, Not in Captivity
The dolphins at Dolphin House are wild, free-swimming animals. They are not kept in captivity or trained for shows. Close encounters happen because the dolphins choose to approach; they are not controlled or fed by people.
What the Trip Is Like
- Boat trip: You leave from Hurghada Marina or a nearby dock in the morning and cruise out into the Red Sea to Dolphin House.
- On board: Enjoy the sea views from the deck, with shaded areas and sun decks.
- Snorkeling: Usually two to three snorkeling stops: one at the dolphin area and others at coral reefs with colorful fish and coral gardens.
- Dolphin encounters: Seeing dolphins depends on luck, but the chances are often high on good days. If dolphins are present, experienced guides position the group safely.
- Lunch and drinks: A buffet lunch and soft drinks are served on board.
- Extra fun: Some trips include a banana boat ride or similar water games.
